Month of the Military Child

Don’t forget to show support for our nation’s military children on “Purple Up! For Military Kids” day. This special day honoring our youngest heroes will be celebrated Friday, April 21. Join the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and others in the military community by wearing purple to support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.

Purple symbolizes the combined colors of all five branches of the military—Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red, and Navy blue.

April is Month of the Military Child. This is one of several posts throughout the month where we’ll be celebrating military children.
