Held in Indianapolis, this conference provides ongoing professional development for ALA leaders and to identify potential department leaders who are ready to move to national leadership.
Poppy Day is celebrated in countries around the world. The American Legion brought National Poppy Day® to the United States by asking Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day, as National Poppy Day. On the Friday before Memorial Day, wear a red poppy to honor the fallen and support the living who have worn our nation's uniform.

The American Legion Auxiliary National Convention is our largest gathering of members, guests, and distinguished speakers. The weeklong event is held annually in cities across America at the same time and place as the convention of The American Legion for the purpose of electing officers, receiving reports, conducting other ALA business — and most of all — having fun while celebrating our accomplishments from the administrative year.
