Celebrating 90 Years of Service Not Self for Veterans, God and Country!
Milestones – you know, those “big moments you always remember.” For the American Legion Auxiliary, this is a big one! Ninety amazing years of serving those who have selflessly served our country—our servicemen and women.
Check out these stats from 2009
·
1.9 million hours volunteered at VA centers
·
$3.2 million donated to community service programs
·
$3.9 million contributed to programs benefitting children and youth
From the Auxiliary’s establishment on November 10,1919, at the first National Convention of The American Legion, we’ve grown into a network of more than 800,000 women! And our women have a passion for making a difference.
We Are Involved!
We do the work that makes life easier for our veterans, their families and their communities. National President Rita Navarreté is collecting and sharing the powerful stories of our members as she travels this year, championing the effort to raise awareness in our country about the importance of our mission.
