To eliminate pork barrel spending
IN THE SENATE OF GIRLS NATION
Senators Seeley and Frederick of Wyoming submitted the following bill; which was referred to Committee .
To eliminate pork barrel spending.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE SENATE OF GIRLS NATION ASSEMBLED.
Section 1. TITLE
This act may be cited as the "Pork-Barrel Spending Act".
Section 2. PURPOSE
The Pork-Barrel Spending Act shall mandate all pieces of legislation to be single subject, therefore eliminating excess spending.
Section 3. DEFINITIONS
Pork-Barrel Spending is any funding for government or other programs including but not limited to public works projects, national defense projects, agricultural subsides, or any other funding that is not part of original intentions of legislation.
Section 4. Pork Barrel Spending Act
The Pork Barrel Spending Act entails that:
(A) No legislation shall be passed containing more than one subject, which shall
be clearly expressed in its title.
(B) If any subject is embraced in any portion of an act, which is not expressed in
the title, including amendments, such portion of the act shall be void.
(C) This act applies to any and all funding or benefits that do not address the

This act shall become effective in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate on July 1, 2014.
