Senators Sivco and Ouellette of Massachusetts introduced the following joint resolution.

Proposing an Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America limiting the number of terms that a Congress person can serve in their career.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the Unites States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislature of three-fourths of the several States within five years after the date of its submission for ratification:
SECTION 1. Term limits for Senators will be limited to five terms of six years each, totaling thirty years.
SECTION 2. Term limits for members of the House of Representatives will be limited to fifteen terms of two years each, totaling thirty years.
SECTION 3. A committee will be created to notify Congress members when term limit has been reached.
