To raise the minimum wage to 8 dollars an hour for all workers employed and receiving minimum wage over the age of 18.
IN THE SENATE OF GIRLS NATION
Senators Whorf and Huffman of Kentucky introduce the following bill; which was referred to Committee .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE SENATE OF GIRLS NATION ASSEMBLED.
Section 1. TITLE
This act may be cited as the "Raise of Minimum Wage Act".
Section 2. PURPOSE
The Raise of Minimum Wage Act will help to combat against poverty in order to raise people above the poverty line.
Section 3. DEFINTIONS
The raise in minimum wage pertains only to those working a minimum wage job over the age of 18.
Section 4. RAISE OF MINIMUM WAGE ACT
The Raise of Minimum Wage Act entails that:
(A) All working citizens of the United States of America above the age of 18 will
receive a minimum wage hourly pay of 8 dollars an hour.
(B) This act requires no fundraising or money grant from the government.
(C) The raise of minimum wage will benefit the United States economy by creating
income for the less wealthy so that they are able to spend and put back into the
(D) This act only applies to nationalized citizens of the United States of America.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE
This act shall be effective for all citizens of the United States working a minimum wage job over the age of 18 on or after September 1, 2013.
