Dear Heavenly Father,
We believe that You have called us together to broaden our experience of You and of each other. We believe that we have been called to help in healing the many wounds of society. Help us, as individuals or together, to work, in love, for peace, and never to lose heart. We commit ourselves to You and to each other--in joy and in sorrow. We commit ourselves to be of assistance to the military, our veterans, children and families in need. We commit ourselves to the common bond that we share and to You, dear God. All we ask is that You be our guide and our companion. We clearly see that You mean for us to live in the freedom of peace and tranquility. All to Your glory. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we start a new year, we ask that you continue to watch over us. We humbly ask you to protect our children; keep safe the homeless; grant us good health; guide the leaders of our great country so that they may make the right decisions; send your guardian angels to protect our servicemen and women during this time of war and bring them home to their families. Lord, we beseech you to give us the strength to forgive our enemies and continue to love thy neighbor. We ask that you show us the way to help bring peace on earth. This we ask in Thy name.
